I presented a lead-authored paper at IEEE RO-MAN 2024!
RO-MAN2024で主著一件の発表を行いました。
RO-MAN 2024のSpecial session “Bridging Trust and Context: Dynamic Interactions in HAI II”にて、”The Effect of Robot Pose and Distance on Pedestrian and Observer Comfort During Passing”という内容の発表を行いました。 学会での質疑や聴講を通して、信頼感、安心感、安全性といったヒューマンロボットインタラクションで鍵となる感性に対する解像度が増し、有意義な出張でした。
Pasadenaは真夏の日本よりも湿度が低く且つ涼しくて大変過ごしやすい素晴らしい場所でした。（円安は大変ですが…） また、ご飯も最高でした。特に、PasadenaのLuckyboyというハンバーガー屋さんは非常におすすめです。
I talked about “The Effect of Robot Pose and Distance on Pedestrian and Observer Comfort During Passing” in a special session titled “Bridging Trust and Context: Dynamic Interactions in HAI II” at IEEE RO-MAN 2024. I could capture the feeling of “trust”, “comfort” and “perceived safety”, which are key feelings in HRI, more clearly through the discussion at the conference, so this visit was worthwhile.
Pasadena was a wonderful place to stay, with less humidity and cooler temperatures than Japan in summer. (The weak yen was tough, though…) The food was also excellent. I especially recommend the “Luckyboy” burger place in Pasadena.
